The 8th World Fisheries Congress, scheduled for September this year, will be held in Adelaide, South Australia.

Canadian building management company BGIS will expand its Australian operations centre in Adelaide to monitor clients across the Asia Pacific.

Visual effects studio Rising Sun Pictures has been bought by Hollywood studio FuseFX, a move which the Rising Sun says will help it grow.

Under the deal announced overnight, Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) will maintain its brand and continue to be based in Adelaide, South Australia under the guidance of co-founder Tony Clark.

A critically endangered marsupial will be reintroduced to mainland South Australia more than a century after they disappeared from the area.

As part of the Marna Banggara restoration project, 100 woylies will be translocated from the Upper Warren region of Western Australia to the lower end of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

South Australian aerial mapping company Aeormetrix has used its MetroMap aerial imagery service to assist in recovery efforts from the New South Wales floods.

Space data company Myriota has this week taken a leap into the US and Canadian markets with its plan to connect remote sensors across the globe with the Internet of Things.

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Myriota deployed the first of three new nanosatellites — which are smaller than a loaf of bread and weigh less than seven kilograms — as part of a Rocket Lab launch from Complex 1 at Mahia on New Zealand’s North Island on Tuesday.

Coincidentally, SA-based Fleet Space Technologies fifth nanosatellite — Centauri 3 — was also on board the Rocket Lab Electron launch vehicle.
